Securing hazardous goods with stretchbands? In principle, this is only permitted under certain conditions. No.
Hazardous goods should be secured with additional means. Securing them with sanstrap® stretchbands alone is not sufficient.
Whether hazardous goods can be secured with stretchbands depends on the type of hazardous goods and the legal requirements. In principle, sanstrap® is not classified as an approved hazardous goods securing device according to ADR – however, it can be used under certain conditions.
sanstrap® is used to stabilise loads on pallets, for example in internal logistics, order picking or transport preparation. The following applies to dangerous goods: According to ADR, the primary securing obligation applies to the packaging and the restraint system in the vehicle – sanstrap® can be useful as a supplementary fastening device, e.g. for additional layer stability.

Important:
sanstrap® is not a substitute for approved hazardous goods packaging.
For highly flammable substances, we recommend using sanstrap® elcon, an antistatic stretchbands.
Any use in the hazardous goods sector should be coordinated with the safety officer.
Conclusion:
sanstrap® can support hazardous goods loads if the primary securing has been carried out in accordance with regulations. However, internal approval processes and legal requirements should always be checked before use in hazardous goods transport.
