The optimum number of stretch straps per pallet depends on the packaged goods and the stability of the stack. In most cases, it is sufficient to secure the top layer with one sanstrap® stretch strap – especially if the products underneath support each other or interlock.
For more unstable goods such as loose cartons, we recommend adding an Non-slip Strip (e.g. sangrip®) between the layers. This prevents anything from slipping and keeps the number of straps required to a minimum.
For particularly high or unstable pallets, it makes sense to use one stretch strap per layer – or, if necessary, to work vertically with the help of 2Link® and pallet clamps.
A single sanstrap® stretch strap is extremely elastic and already provides reliable fastening. Nevertheless, safety comes before economy – when in doubt, it is better to use one more strap, especially for transport or shipping.
