Since 1956, Sanpack has been developing sophisticated packaging solutions for industry and trade – always with an eye to the future. What began as a small company in Hamburg is now an internationally active specialist in pallet securing systems that consistently combines sustainability and technical innovation. This journey through time shows how it all began – and the steps that have led us to where we are today.
Social responsibility – Sanpack has been supporting the SOS Children’s Village in Brandenburg for over 20 years. We want to open up new perspectives for disadvantaged children and young people – with a targeted commitment to education and development.

1956
On November 1, 1956, the company “Sanpack Gesellschaft Lambsdorff & Co.” starts its own production, trade and packaging of packaging products. The company is based in Hamburg-Billbrook.
1958 - Intern. Trade fair presence "IBA, Munich"
Sanpack exhibits at an international trade fair for the first time – the IBA in Munich. Sanpack attracts a great deal of attention with the launch of the cling film “Saran”.
1960 - Move to Eiffestrasse, Hamburg
Sanpack deals in packaging machines such as Ulma, nets, roasting tubes and much more for fresh produce in supermarkets.

Relocation to Eiffestrasse, Hamburg.
1969 - Sanpack moves into new company building in Eiffestrasse

1978 - Foundation of warehouse technology
Foundation of the storage technology department, with a focus on wrapping machines, baling presses, shredders, etc.
1990 - Move to Glinde
Relocation to Glinde with focus on in-house production and development.
1994 - Patent for sanstrap®
Patent for the sanstrap® stretch strap for securing pallets – now used internationally.
2000s - Innovations
Development of the moisture-resistant anti-slip film sangrip® (2001) and the vertical safety strap 2link® (2006). Both products extend the range of applications for sanstrap® and contribute to its international expansion.
2008 - Sustainability
Conversion to 100% green electricity, LED, regional print products, CO₂ savings.

2020 - sanstrap® eco
Market launch of sanstrap® eco – the world’s first pallet stretch strap with 90% bio-PE made from tall oil.
2023 - sanstrap® re
Market launch of sanstrap® re – the world’s first stretch strap for securing pallets made from recycled plastic.
