When is strapping tape really worthwhile for securing pallets?

Strapping bands – often made of polypropylene (PP), polyester (PET) or textile fibers – are used to secure palletized goods by wrapping them around. They are usually applied using a strapping tool and require sealing sleeves or welding.

Advantages: wide range of tape types for different applications, very high tear resistance, suitable for heavy or heavily loaded goods. However: cannot be reused, complicated to use, requires accessories or machines, hardly elastic → no tension when moving, sharp edges can damage the packaged goods.

sanstrap® stretchbands offer a smart alternative: they are easily applied by hand, adapt flexibly and require neither sleeves nor tools. Ideal for internal logistics, varying pallet heights and sensitive packaged goods.

Advantages over strapping tape:

  • tool-free handling
  • elastic & adaptable
  • No cutting or slipping
  • reusable
  • Ideal for order picking and warehouse logistics

→ Greater efficiency and safety – without the need for tensioning devices.

Safe. Simple. Better packaged.

Pallet securing doesn’t have to be complicated – just well thought out. Many conventional solutions are expensive, impractical or generate unnecessary waste. sanstrap® & Co. tackle precisely this problem: clever, efficient and flexible in use. For safe, fast processes and less packaging work.
